Tracon 8 Cosplay Plans

Hiyah!

Tracon 8 is creeping closer and right now it's only two weeks away. My cosplay plans for Tracon was set a couple of days ago and I feel confident enough to publish them now. So here goes ~

Saturday

Original Casual!Luka Crosszeria from The Betrayal Knows My Name.
I won't have time to make any of his many official designs for now, so I will just cosplay an original casual version instead. There is also a small Uraboku -shortening of the series Japanese name- group during Saturday so that's my reason for picking Luka as my Saturday cosplay.

Sunday

Kratos Aurion from Tales of Symphonia.
Kratos was originally an unsure decision but I decided to keep him on the spot after hearing from Wandiery that there will be some kind of a Tales of activity on Sunday. I also know that there will be other people cosplaying from Tales of Symphonia during the con, so let's roll out with this guy! By the way, I'm also repairing and fixing this cosplay -after the damage from Närcon 2013- for the moment so a repair post will be up before Tracon.

See you all until then!

Oulu Animeseminaari 2013 Summary

Hello folks!

Two days ago I came home from the seminar and compared to last year's experience, I enjoyed it a lot more this year. But now it's summary time so straight to it then!

I slept over at my aunt's place together with Shiro Samurai and Hasakitsuki and we played some New Super Mario Bros. Wii there. We had so much fun! When we came to the first castle in the second world (Desert world) we died so many times at that level! We laughed so hard because always when one of us told the other one not to die or "Seriously now guys!" in the stage, the one who said that died within 5 seconds after the meaning, it was so hilarious! When our Luigi (me), Mario (Shiro Samurai) and yellow Toad (Hasakitsuki) had died enough we went to sleep like "fuck this shit". That game is chaos and super fun when you play three or four players! Like, really! I had the same cosplays with me as said in the cosplay plan post for the event earlier but their order got swapped instead. I had Uryū Ishida (Bleach) on Saturday and Yamato "Matt" Ishida (Digimon) on Sunday.

Saturday

We did nothing special during Saturday when all the panels and activities that caught our interest was on Sunday. So on Saturday we just put on our Bleach costumes and headed to the con. Luckily the way to the con was quite easy so we didn't get lost in Oulu, which is an unfamiliar city to us. At the con we had a photoshoot -with me being the photographer- and before that, we found Sacchan who tagged along with us for the rest of the con day. Yay!

When I don't troll, my cosplay does! xD
The seminar became 20% cooler when our group met Karri, a guy with an inspiring life story who weren't afraid of sharing it either. After spending some time and learning to know him better our group returned to our aunt's place to play some more Wii. It was more fun than to be at the seminar, I tell you.

Sunday

Same daily routine as always, get up from the bed, have some breakfast and put on your costume. I was doubting if I wanted to cosplay when I felt quite bad since the evening but later I decided to put on my Yamato cosplay anyway. I waited for the rest and we left for the seminar.

The first thing we did when we hit the seminar was to hurry to Thaki's panel called "Guys and Cosplay" so that we wouldn't miss it. The panel started at 11:30 and lasted to 12:30 and it was really funny and informative! I especially loved Thaki's voice acting and the humor! Thanks man! Our next activity was at 13:00 and this time it was a small piano concert held by a person who came all the way from Helsinki. Sadly I didn't recognize the majority of the songs that he played but I enjoyed the concert. The piano guy played songs from Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Prince of Persia, Fullmetal Alchemist and more, some of these I found out after the concert.

Even though the small amount of practice before the seminar he did well! Kudos!
After the concert he left a paper at the seminar's info desk and said that if someone has any songs that they would wish to hear the next time he would arrange a piano concert, they could write them down. My song wishes was:

- "Secret From the Blue Sky" from Tales of Symphonia. I cried the first time I heard this! Wish to hear it live!

- "Eternity" from The Betrayal Knows My Name.

The rest of the day went to eat a bad pizza, chill with my company and then head back to aunt's place again to spend the remaining event hours next to the Wii. We played some The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword but it was mostly Hasakitsuki playing. When our train came to take us to Kemi, we boarded it and got home.

Bonus Picture!

I don't remember what was asked of me. But that face is seemingly my answer xD
That was my experience this year, see you!

Oulu Animeseminaari 2013 Cosplay Plans

Yes folks, this year just like last year, I will head to Oulu's Animeseminaari and it's during next weekend, 17th-18th August. I'm not all that excited about it to be honest. Well, I will be heading there together with Shiro Samurai, Hasakitsuki and meet Sacchan at the event. I hope that I will have a better experience this year than last year. Towards the cosplay plans then.

Saturday

Yamato "Matt" Ishida from Digimon Adventure.
Sunday

Uryū Ishida from Bleach.
Everyone will cosplay from Bleach on Sunday so will just tag along, no more than that. Let's see how this year will be, the local is the same as last year.

See ya.
